I have used this glaze for raku firing and for cone 5 firing in an electric kiln. Dramatic colorations happen to this glaze when used for raku firing. I have seen flashes of crimson to orange come from the reduction of this glaze. Best results seem to come when the piece is partially submerged in a flammable material for a couple minutes before closing the reduction container. This glaze has a broad temperature requirement and can be fired with any of the other glazes I use with very little difference in the final results. |
